Our Little Road Warrior

One of the things I love about Zadie is that she's really good at rolling with the punches and being dragged around all over the place. Tori, of course, likes to hit the road and we take Zadie on all kinds of adventures. These photos are a case in point. Tori and I are rode our bikes and Grandma Linda rollerskated to Venice. Zadie fell asleep along the way and Tori tied this scarf around her head so that it wouldn't keep falling forward and waking her up. Oh, and respect to Grandma Linda for rollerskating that far -- I couldn't rollerskate more than a block!
This photo was taken in the rec area in Venice, which is one of my very favorite spots. Can't beat the people-watching there! Most people are into people-watching all the weirdos in Venice, but I personally like watching the pickup basketball games, handball, and the guys who do the high rings. I especially like observing how the basketball players mediate their arguments -- I don't fully understand the system, but they do seem to work their disagreements out.

The other reason I like Venice is because I get to eat at Mao's Kitchen. Yum!
